- Redundancy is maintained for all critical components of the Pegasus TransTech data infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, servers and switches.
- The firewalls in our data centers are managed by security teams at Berbee Information Networks: a best-in-class provider and Pegasus strategic partner.
Scalability
- Pegasus has developed and deployed systems that enable us to add bandwidth and server capacity quickly to support customer requirements.
- Pegasus has immediate access to as much as 100x the bandwidth currently used to support our data infrastructure.
- The Pegasus server farm configuration—featuring multiple application servers in disparate locations—allows us to rapidly add servers as needed.
Reliability
- Pegasus’ data centers support an average of 5 million transactions every day, with an uptime performance record of 99.99%.
- While many companies deploy redundant sites, few test for reliability as rigorously as Pegasus TransTech. We conduct rollover testing between our data sites a minimum of once every quarter. This ensures that in the unlikely event of a disaster, failover will occur according to plan and safeguard our customers’ critical data.
- External services and internal applications constantly monitor communications, job logs, system performance and security. They then send alerts to the operations staff before customers are affected.
- The reliability of our data centers if further enhanced by our use of best-in-class hardware and ancillary equipment from providers that include IBM, Cisco and Network Appliance.
